yeah i'm jst waiting on the Megan Mid also. i suspect it won't make it any louder. the new Tanabe's boasts to keep the decibels below 98db, i think it said. it's very nice. and none of that droning sound in the cabin. it's fairly quiet when cruising but when you get on it, i've seen drivers shift in their seats when i hit from a light.

Default DME header

I just installed the DME header on my 07. Looks great but I got the CEL. Tried the trick with the antifoulers and that didn't seem to work. Have the header paired with a magnaflow cat back exhaust and it sounds like crap. High pitched rasp at about 4000 rpm.

I have the DME header and it makes my exhaust sound way too raspy. It is ridiculous. I had to put my stock header back on to make the sound go away. The only way I have seen to get rid of the raspy is to get a secound CAT installed on by exhaust pipe.

I have the DME header, 2.5" custom header back exhaust system, a cat and a 40" resonator(2.25" inlet, 2.25" outlet) with a magnaflow exhaust and its sounds great. What exactly is your exhaust set-up? thanks.

got over 85k miles with my DC headers. several brown rust looking spots but no leaks, have the anti-fouler on and still no check engine light. pretty straight this far.

I have a CAT back exhaust with the stock resonator installed. The magnaflow is just the generic muffler style that they had at the muffler shop.

You need at least a 30" resonator if you want it to sound good.

Hi guys im new to the forum, I own a 05 BLack xB and I just installed teh DME header but im getting a weird sound from it. It sounds as if was some kind of leak from it.... i used the gasket that came with the header to seal it and it was doing this weird sound i changed it to stock gasket and its also doing it...I dont know if DME header makes this weird sound...anyone have gotten this sound before? Or anybody knows how to fix it?whats hould i look into?

I took out the stock CAT , left the stock resonator and put in borla exhaust ..its soo damn quiet cruising....but when I put the pedal to the floor it sounds like a devil inside a box ! bahahah

ESEMRFOZZ13 : Weird thing is that I took the cat out like 2 days ago...but before taking it out it still had that sound..

BZinn1 :it sounds like a weedwacker...

Some dude told me he installed this OEM header and he had the same problem but after time passed it dissappeared.

For how long you guys have been running yours? Ive had it for a week or so :s
