ok i saw a pic of a tc with dual exhaust in the body kits for tc post and it looked awesome on the tc who makes this or is it a complete csutom job help would be appreciated

precision muffler makes duals.. but you have to cut out another opening in the bumper on the left side.

 

sweet thanks i will check them out but i was thinking of doing a lip kit then getting the dual so i dont have to cut the stock bumper but again thanks for the replies

 

does the muffler do any good to the car? Dual muffler sounds pretty overkill for a 4 banger.

well check out the precision muffler link it tells ya about the setup but it dont have to give me alot of performance i like the look but i would probably get it mated to a 3 inch exhaust cause im gonna go turbo unless they come out with a better supercharger than the trd i wantr more power plus you cant beat the pssst of the bov it makes you wanna skeet lol

 

no, duals on any 4 cylinder is absolutley useless.. it would be more efficient to run a three inch straight pipe. I had a custom headerback exhaust built for myself and the guy would have done duals for the same price. But being I have a 4 cylinder its not a true dual system so I didnt do it because I think its kinda ricey...

 

A 2.5 inch exhaust is more than you will ever need unless you are planning for high boost pressures.

And yes, a dual exhaust is useless from a performance standpoint, an maybe even detrimental on an na setup. But, if you are going for that look then that is another thing. Its whatever you like on your ride really.

i wasnt expecting to be racing porches after getting it.. but i had the TRD exhaust b4 and i dont feel any loss... so its at least as productive as the TRD axle back.

 

has anyone just welded together something similar to SRT-4 exhaust, where its one shared muffler like our stock one but with an identical pipe coming out the driver side of the muffler? that would be cheaper or swap an MR2 aftermarket muffler, because it had a 2.2L or a turbo 2.0L in those cars (5SFE and 3SGTE) with duals(not true duals)

if you do a search for dual exhaust there was someone planning it... but i dont know if it actually got anywhere... that would require more space and bends that might not be possible under the tC and that is what the debate over which setup would be better was...

 

A couple of us around the DFW area have found that a camaro flowmaster(single in and dual out from opposit ends) works perfect for this application. This allows the muffler to set side to side and an outlet pipe comes from each end. You do have to get someone to do some pretty serious custom pipe work but if you are in the Dallas area, I know just the guy! Here is a pic of mine... i will try to get a better shot, but maybe you can see a little bit of what i'm talking about here. I can feel a distinct difference when I punch the gas, no loss there... and it sounds mean as hell too!

i wonder how it would look if you filled in the oem exhaust opening and re-painted the rear bumber, then that would look sick.....sleeper look definately!

 

ya... i'm looking for a rear lip/bumper that does not have the exhaust indention. Anyone know of such a thing?

 

We did that over here in Cali for an xB owner that wanted to hide his exhaust. We tucked it up and he had the body shop fill in the cutout. Looked real clean.

 

My son's friend has that on his xB, and its tucked up in there. He used a template to cut the second opening.
