They won't break off if you are careful. Take a screwdriver, cover the end with a cloth or something, pry slowely and spray goo gone behind the emblems. Then use a hair dryer to apply heat and slowly pry off. There are a few pins on the back of the emblem, but if you are careful when you pry it off they won't break. Then clear off all the 3M tape on the back. Go throught the proper steps to paint it and use 3M molding tape to put it back on. Simple as that.
You can also remove the rear tC by taking the hair dryer and applying heat to the tC, spray some goo gone, heat again for 20 seconds...then take the dental floss and go from the t to the C back and forth slowly. Once the logo is off spary some more goo gone and heat as needed till it all rubs off.
