Default Engine went POOF

So I got a call from my body guy amd my car engine blew. It has a hole where the pistons and shiz is located, so now I am towing the car to Ptuning where it will hopefully be getting fixed...

If anyone has or know someone/where that has a motor for sale for cheap PLEASE let me know.... also if they have a manual trans with it since I do want to do a trans swap possibly.... Thanks for any help.

I am sooooo sad andf ____ed right now since money is already tight and now this....

well maybe your friend didn't do it but someone else did... i just don't see how something like this could have happened at a body shop, that's all.

ummm... a vacuum line being off would not cause oil to not circulate - your oil pump isn't driven by vacuum, it's driven by your timing chain. More specifically, it's driven off of a secondary timing chain that sits behind the primary on the crankshaft sprocket that does nothing but drive the oil pump. A vacuum line being off would cause the car to idle surge and run like poop. If the car is boosted then it'll buck and fall on its face in boost.

I'm not going to doubt that oil starvation could've caused the problem, but there would have been warning signs, such as rod knock before it went that horribly. If there were a bad tune and the car was ran really hard then it could've cracked a piston and tore everything up. Definitely sucks though, I feel for you.

Vacuum line to the BOV came off that ties into the pressure sensor. Lots of boost and no fuel.

If that happened, you'd be running rich because you're ____ing all of your boost out through the vacuum line while you're adding fuel for air the MAF has accounted for - not to mention the car would run like poo. I don't know exactly what happened to your engine, but it sounds like you're being fed a lot of lines of BS.

***EDIT***
...and what pressure sensor? tC's are MAF-based cars, they don't have MAP sensors. The only way you'll have a MAP sensor is if you have either an electronic boost gauge or you have an AEM unit.

says he has a emanage ultimate which you can get a MAP sensor for. if that came undone it would F up the tune and then blow up.

I want to see a 3vz-fe from 95-97, 208hp 200tq in a tc. You need a new motor anyway, do the swap. You should be able to get one from australia. Don't know if the trans from a tc would works. But it would be a awesome swap. The motors from a camry thats we don't get in the states. Don't get the us spec its only got 180 hp 188tq.
