Default Espelir to release JGT-500 exaust for our tC

I just had the prototype installed, and i must say, so far its been phenomenal. for those of you guys not in the know, Espelir is the leading mfg. of full race exausts for the JGTC. no other Exaust company in Japan is more affiliated with all out performance than Espelir. so, as i was saying, its an axle-back two piece set-up. unlike the TRD exaust, it utilizes a single-side anti-resonator rather than a full scale muffler. this allows for less restriction and better flow. the second piece comes off the resonator and flows into a straight thru muffler. thankfully it does not have the TRD twang-like sound to it. its more of a low, deep, humming growl. yes it is much quieter than a lot of other systems out there, but im not too keen on attracting attention if you get my dorifto. although we havent done any dyno-runs, i do feel a little more umph on the top end. i was assured by the guys at Espelir that the system has been rigorously designed to ensure maxuimum flow, and i believe it. we have a little more R/D to do, but it should be on the market soon. good luck!!

oh yea, i was also told that the msrp for the system was gonna be in the ball park of 600 duckets. also, im told a full system is in the works as well.

if you're interested, contact the good guys at Mackin Industries.

So a foreign hardcore racing company with a huge reputation for quality performance parts is going to release an....axle back.

Hooray. My exhaust performance dreams have been realized. Behold, my enthusiasm. Oh wow. Golly goodness.

Did I lay it on thick enough?

Well from the original post, using the information that was present..

its an axle-back two piece set-up
The "axle-back" part kind of gave it away for me

The rotary engine was responsible for that sound.

man, ppl still crying about axlebacks haha

i've said it before and i'll say it again, these companies are obviously making axlebacks for a reason. if they felt a full system was necessary, i'm sure they'd make one. after all, they could charge a whole lot more for a full system.

guys, just chill. the exaust has only been on my car for like 4 days. yes it is an axle-back. yes, its a little bit quiet, and yes its fukin hawt. Esperlir took a lot of interest in the car when they came to the usa for SEMA this past november. the number of tC's there was an obvious sign that there is market for them. so they hooked up with their USA distributor, Mackin Ind. So while the japanese R&D guys were here test fitting the new IS 350, they also test fit my car. unfortunately, my computer skills go as far as this site. so even if i had a sound clip, i wouldnt know how the hell to post it. the guys at Mackin took a bunch of pic's, and i think they'll be up soon on their website. thats all i can getcha right now. just know that its all 2.5" mandrel bent pipe, sweet welded flanges, and it fits like a glove. the muffler tip is in the perfect position. not all sunk in like the Meagan exaust. i dont know what the Greddy sounds like, but i know that this isnt loud at all, but it still has the low growl. i'll try and keep you guys up-to-date. thanks
