Last week I hit 70 getting on the freeway and a highway patrol fliiped his lights and came after me. I turned on to the closest exit and just punched it weaving in and out of traffic and into the suicide lane. After I got a good distance, I turned right at the light at about 50mph and slid into the back of a wallgreens. I went behind the store and came back the way I was chased. That was some scary $hit . . .

Yeah. I had nothin to,lose. I had a suspended license. If you get caught without a license, they impound your car for 30 days and if u cant afford to pay the fees to get it out, they auction it off.

i hit a little over 120 on the way back from tallahassee this past labor day weekend. switched lanes going that fast too. very smooth but kinda scary, i cut in between a Tahoe and a 18 wheeler. lol got my thrills out of it. taken the tc 110-115 on plenty of occasions tho... is there any way to take off the limiter with the Unichip like you can with the E-Manage??

It's fun to test the limits of your car. But PLEASE don't do it when there is OTHER traffic around.

for those of us claiming they were going more than 127mph, were you going down a hill? i mean cuz its limited at 127, so i can't see you going past that on level highway.

Please tell me your tC had over a couple thousand miles on it, or else I'll cry. 2 weeks? No break in?

I've had the tC to about 105 and I was impressed by how well it handled it (going straight on an empty highway, mind you). What was even scarier was going 135 in my 91 CRX... on the cheapest Wal-mart tires!! I'll be the first to admit that was completely retarded. I could have lost a tire in the blink of an eye and my life soon thereafter. Luckily the stock Potenzas are H-rated, good for up to 130mph, but it's important to keep your tire ratings in mind when doing dumb stuff.

its kinda funny because i see most of the people that are posting how fast they went are under 20 years old. You all please be carefull out there. At the most you have only been driving on your own for 4 years, thats really not a long time. im not trying to disqualify any of your driving skills but please be carefull. I would not want any of you to have to rot in jail because you crashed at that speed and killed a family.

stay safe out there....

hopefully you weren't doing 120ish when you wrecked!

I admit, after I slid off the highway and totaled my ex's neon on christmas day '02, it took me awhile to become reaccustomed to driving at even normal highway speeds! (I obviously don't have that problem anymore though!)
