so i have a weapon r header to a megan mid pipe with a trd exhaust and i have rasp...ugh i have no cat also and i need to know the fix of how to get rid of this rasp. help me

 

you need to get another resonator for your midpipe

 

mmmm i have megan headers / megan s-pipe / "had" stock mid-pipe / hks exhaust. and i bought a 27inch 6round magnaflow resonator for 77 bucks at www.hottexhaust.com and had my stock mid pipe basically removed and got a custom mid-pipe with no cat and had that big resonator on it... now it sounds sexy.... no rasp hahah

 

^ would it be possible to modify the megan midpipe and cut out their resonator and replace it with a longer/thicker magnaflow resonator?

 

that was what i was thinking and planning on doing

 

i know the megan midpipe has two resonators, one tiny one probably 10" long or less, and then the longer one in the middle. i figured you can chop the long one off (and some of the pipe itself, before and after the resonator) and stick a longer magnaflow on it, and then weld on a new rear flange. thats my plan anyway.

 

i'm going to bump this thread, since i kinda want to know the answer to ^^... i wanna get a tsudo midpipe and weld on 2 14" magnaflow resonators and a cat (i'm open to recommendations)... wondering if that'll works...

 

Ill be watching this one, I was planing the same thing once i get my s/c

 

ahh.. here we go. its been done. i'm ordering one of these Aero AR25 resonators asap, do a search on em, nothing but good things! should go well with the new header.



by the way this is a megan midpipe ^ that had its smaller resonator cut off and replaced with an Aero AR25, apparently these little guys do wonders.

its also been done on a Skunk2 midpipe (which only has one resonator)

thecar, it should fit no problem, its about the same size as the one its replacing. since the weapon-r aka MMW header consists of the header and their s-pipe, whatever midpipe you choose would bolt on after the weapon-r/MMW s-pipe.

so i guess your setup would be:

weapon-r header -> weapon-r s-pipe -> megan midpipe with resonator welded in -> trd axleback.

i ordered the AR25 already, just trying to figure out what header to go with. will post pics when the midpipe is done.
