Default exhaust/boost question

right now i have a dezod 2 1/2'' s pipe, a tanabe concept g 2 1/2'' axle back...

but i still have the stock mid pipe.
if i buy a 2 1/2 mid pipe am i going to have to get re tuned?

i know when i was getting tuned at ptuning, at high rpms we were having an issue with the boost spiking down.
after it would hit around 12psi, it would jump to about 9psi around 5500 rpm

so im tuned at 12psi with a drop to 9psi @ high boost
were guessing there was nowhere for the pressure to go.
if i put a mid pipe in, do i need a retune.
because im guessing it will just hold 12 pounds of boost steady now.
but im not sure if thats safe, and i just dropped $647 on a tune.
dont wanna pay for a re tune already.

yeah you might.. but if you have conservative afr you should be good maybe 11.3-11.5.. if its semi aggressive afr you might need to get tuned
