alright so ive been runnin a megan mid with an hks axle and loved the sound. today i put on my strup header and invidia downpipe. i figured it was gunna be raspy but its horrible lol. would it be worth it to put the stock mid back on to try to eliminate some of the rasp or would i have to weld more resonators in?? or what do you guys think my best bet would be without gettin rid of the header

 

Not much you can do but put in another (larger) or more resonators. Even if you put the OEM midpipe in, it will still be horrible.

Just something about an aftermarket header with any axleback and the tC.

 

damn thats what i figured. thats why i always steered away from an aftermarket header but i got it for a good deal and couldnt pass it up

 

your solution is simple goto muffler shop and have at least 24" of resonator put on,the one on the stock midpipe is worthless and the one on the Megan midpipe is also worthless..........car will sound beautiful once you get a good resonator on it,I have 2 12" resonators on MMW header,2.5 midpipe and HKS can......mine sounds sweet no rasp,deep and no drone either......and it still is fairly loud when gotten on.

 

gotta go custom if putting on a header....i have a DME header with invidia downpipe.....from there custom 2.5 piping with magaflow hi flow cat with a vibrant 18 inch resantor little loud but i can deal with it...but put another resantor in to quiet it down a bit

 

i don't really mind loud the only thing thats annoying is how raspy it is. but ill probly end up gettin resonators put in my mid

^ lol ya thanks. i just put my stock midpipe back on. it sounds alot better so i can tolerate it until i figure out if im gunna put resonators in my other mid
