Third time putting the pipe back on and same clearance. Does anyone else have a picture like this one of theirs?

It might be easier to surface both flanges as they may have been warped during the welding process.

ok so i FINALLY got around to putting washers on the bolts to see if that helps but as usual it didnt....

i think it's cause i put too many washers, i dont know... when ever i have free time, im going to a muffler shop to have them re-weld a new flange... but eitherway i took some pics for anyone whos interested... sorry for the crappy cell phone pics...

the washers i used:

tools i used: 14mm socket/deep socket, pry bar (to get the wrench out), 14mm wrench, extension bar, 3/4 and 1/2 rachets, and a creeper since im lazy lol:

i put two washers on each end of the bolt:

this is how it currently looks installed:

this is the flange im talking about if you dont know (s-pipe to midpipe flange) yea i know those are some sloppy ___ welds from a crappy muffler shop and no the exhaust leak isn't coming from there. i've checked it thousands of times:

and for those who wanted pics of my header to s-pipe flange with the washers i used to seal the leak:

hope the pics aren't too big!

then you need a new crush gasket. but usually( 99%) the spring bolts are for a dounut gasket . so the bolts could be the problem.

the bolts are not the problem at all. i think you guys are getting confused since i posed up pics on the header to s-pipe flanges... i USED to have a exhaust leak there (header to s-pipe, last 3 pics), but i have a exhaust leak at the s-pipe to midpipe flange... spring loaded bolts don't go there.. i think the copper gasket that is wedged inside the stock midpipe flage is busted but i cant get it out, so im just going to get a new flange welded on there unless you guys know of other ways that i can get rid of this exhaust leak????

2.5in is what they say that the ARK is...

i STILL have this leak issue. i replaced that gasket that goes between the s-pipe and midpipe and now i think the leak is coming from the crappy weld job that was done a long time ago when i had the stock cat removed.. im going to take the whole exhaust completely off and take it to a muffler shop so they can replace that one pipe with a new one and put a nice weld onto it...
