ok so i bought a muffler, just a muffler cuz i was just going for sound and looks, and i went to get it installed and they looked at it and said they couldnt do it then because they would have to get new piping or something, so i came back another day and they said the sae thing, and ive tried lots of places...Do i need to buy some piping or something or what? thanks

 

what type of place did you go too? If they are a muffler place then they should be able to bend some pipes for you and weld some hangars for no more than $100. I have an OBX muffler that Ive been debating whether to put on and I was quoted as low as $80 with a 1-yr warranty on the work.

 

i went to midas, yeah they said they could put hangers on but they kept telling me to come back, and i did and yeah...so i guess ill try a diif place...but they should be able to do it right...i wont have to purvhase anything rlse

 

They thought it was going to be a cut and weld job onto existing piping... But with the tC's muffler design, thats not gonna happen.

You need to find a shop that can bend the pipe and make it fit.

 

go to a dedicated muffler place. I was quoted at Midas $180!!! Way to much for a couple feet of pipe, some bends, and welds for hangers and can, if you ask me.

and yes, a muffler place should be able to do it. they are a few people roaming around here with custom exhausts, so yes.

 

alright, yea im gonna try a new one this week, hopefuly il get it installed..eventually
