So I installed a custom exhaust yesterday and the exhaust sometimes rattles when it is idle. It goes away as soon as I start to go. Tomorrow I'm gonna be on the road for 7 hours and don't have time to take a look at my exhaust until after, just want to make sure it is safe/won't ____ anything up making the drive tomorrow. most likely your heat shield..

 

was it a full midpipe exhaust,if so it is probably bumping on the safty bar at middle of car that keeps it pipe from hitting ground if it breaks,other big spot axel backs hit is at the suspension if it is sittign too close to it it can bump,also can bump on the bumper,none of which are harmful on the short term......jsut annoying.
