Default Exhaust system Question

I have searched for the question I'm about to ask but they are pretty specific. I have a couple of questions...I have a trd exhaust and just went to a muffler shop and had them weld in a cherrybomb resonator. My first question is how long till the cherrybomb breaks in and will it get deeper? I believe the cherrybomb is located in the midpipe..and by him installing that did it take out my second cat? I defintally noticed a difference because it cuts out all the high frequency sounds and is way deeper but I want my car louder while keeping the deep sound. People have recomended a Header but I don't want the rasp.. would the cherrybomb cut of the rasp from the header? If not what could I do to beef up the sound of my exhaust while keeping the deep sound. thanks in advance

it wont get much deeper than it already sounds right now, resonators cut down on rasp or what u call high frequency sounds. it did not eliminate any cats and should be directly behind the second cat. It by itself will not make your exhaust note any louder, but the header will. Depending on the size of the resonator, it might muffle/eliminate the rasp from the header addition. If you want a deeper sound, i recommend getting a different exhaust because the TRD is relatively pretty quiet.

If you got a cat back it would eliminate the cherrybomb you put on.

oh alright, so my best bet would be a louder axle back then. I have watched youtube clips but cant really tell a difference from my trd. Can someone give me any input on an axle back that is louder than the trd one?

Cherry bombs and Thrush resonators are known for rasp, they basically have been used for years on V8 hotrods,I used them on my 70 GTO and everyone told me it would be raspy,it was for about a month then it cleaned up,but never got deep in tone,it is in their design, they can be ran in both forward and backwards directions so the teeth in them work differantly to catch the sound.

Aero 25 is a great import resonator to get a good deep tone and still keep loudness.

I had the Weapon r header and 2 12" thrush resonators and the TRD can on and it still after 4 months was raspy, loud, but under load it had bad rasp, swapped out to a Apexi can with 4" exit and all rasp is gone, tone is deep, but it is loud under load, but not as bad as the TRD can, which surprised me.Car now sounds great with that setup.

hmm yeah I was thinking of getting a header so maybe I just need an exhaust with a 4inch exit. As of right now my car doesnt have any rasp with the cherrybomb which surprised me at first just more of a rumble
