Well ive been looking into an exhaust and intake, im pretty sure im going to wait for AEM intake at the dealers, but i was wondering about exhaust, i got the 7 year extended warr and i was wondering if i should go with a aftermarket exhaust i really want the precision magnaflow exhaust, but how much of the warranty will it kill? Will i still be safe? doesnt seem like anything will go wrong with a catback or a axle back for that matter... i dont wanna blow the 1200 dollars im paying for the extended warr

Well, if a squirrel (not our squirrel!) crawls into the exhaust (or intake) piping...and finds itself inside the engine...then you turn on the car, and it breaks the engine, then no...they will not fix your car under the warranty...

If they find the cause of a problem to be your doing, they have the right to not warrant the problem. Although, some dealerships look the other way and give you the benefit of the doubt.

Also, with an exhaust...If your O2 censors on your exhaust crap out, you probably have to pay for new ones. With an intake, if your MAF censor craps out, you probably have to pay for a new one...

well, with the Magnaflow cat back (or any catback on the xB/xA), there will be some cutting/welding done to the exhaust...

catback muffler will not void any warranty from the cat FORWARD
the catback part of the exhaust will be void

Our dealer said nothing will void the warranty unless it caused the problem. The main warranty you want is drivetrain. A header (cat delete and all) and header-back exhaust will not void the drivetrain warranty.
At least our dealer says its fine. :D

So far we haven't had any problems with our exhaust systems voiding any warranties. In fact we had one dealer from the east coast buy a cat back from us, for one of thier new tC's.
