Default Is F/I w Nitrous Possible?

Just a question. No I am not planning on doing it. Just kind of wondered how the motor can take all that stress. (been reading up haha). Anywyas so is it possible to use Nitrous with af/i set up either turbo or sc. Very curious? Maybe its possible with some kind of motor build up?

Of course it is. All depends on the setup.

Yes its possible i know somebody that i met through a friend who has a 1st gen neon with a built 2.4 pushing 36 pounds of boost and also using a 125 shot down in the lower rps to spool the turbo. The car to date has run a best of 9.8 @145 i believe here at englishtown about 20 mins from my house. The car is also still an automatic and is still running the dash and two racing seats in the front, still even has plates and power windows lol. So yes it can be done. By the way he runs nhra sport fwd class i believe.

zpi was running 125 shot when they blew the engine, I'd assume the car was also tubro'ed and being driven by a man with a lead right foot.

Thanks for the replies guys. Another weird question. On a supercharger when the belt snpas or the supercharger goes you cna still run the car just fine just wont have the boost(hoping that the snaped belt didnt get caught in something) now how about for a turbo if a turbo says breaks burns or w/e can you run a turbo set up car without the turbin eitself working?

There's a guy with an xA that's supercharged and he runs nitrous. He's not really using the nitrous for the extra boost in power, but he's actually using it to lower the intake charge temp.

Interesting...
Do you know what kind of transmission upgrades he did on his auto...

To be running those numbers on an auto, I'm very curious...

Thanks...

I dont know the exact details on his auto tranny, but i know hes very good with trannys and he does it himself no sponsors. I know hes had 2 different trannys in swapping them back and forth playing around kind of testing and tuning. One run he used the stock but built up neon 3 speed next time he tried the 4 speed he built etc. Hes very good with trannys and as of now he has the only and the fastest front wheel drive street class turbo neon in the 9's in the US. His name is RacerStev on neons.org if you go on there forums go in the search type in his name and find some of his posts and maybe find out.

So can anyone help out with my other question? if a turbine burns or stops working, can you run a car without the turbine, because to my understanding if your supercharger stops working or something the car will run fine just it wont have the sc how about turbo systems?

if your super charger or turbo stops working then your intake will be to restrictive and not alow good air flow and your car will stall out (atleast from what i have seen with a l67 that the s/c locked up on do to leaking s/c oil) and also the friction of the non rotating pully and the belt sliding on it burns the belt up and it snaps and your alternator stops working and your battery dies asuming your car hasnt staled out at that point any ways

as far as a turbo im sure a small one could posibly still work but im not 100% sure on that since turob cars are something new to me im currently buiding my first one and its all a learing exp.
