I don't really remember but I THINK, the safety switch has a white plug on it, if it does then I believe the wires are black & black/yellow. The black/yellow is the one that has to have 12V in order for car to start. So in logical thinking when the key is on, the black wire has constant 12V, by pushing in on the clutch, you close the circuit sending 12V to the black yellow.
When I had my old Ford truck, I just unplugged the safety switch, stuck a jumper wire 2 wire plug from one side to the other to complete the circuit and the truck fired up without pushing the clutch in. Dangerous to do if you forget it's in gear when you go to start it. So you may want to verify by using a VOM.
