im lookin for some respones from some fidanza flywheel owners.
ive been looking at these for a while now and wanna pick one up soon.
i plan on getting a supercharger within the next year but was wondering
if it is pointless to install it on a N/A tc?
also is this the cheapest everyone has seen it for?

I'm currently N/A, and although mine is not Fidanza brand, it's 9lbs and it's an awesome mod. The revs are so much quicker.. the car feels peppier. You'll love it. May as well get a clutch since you will be paying for the install anyways.

 

very true with a stock supercharger should i go with a stage 2 or 3?

 

I would get a Stage 3 just in case you ever want to turn up the boost in the future. No sense in constantly upgrading your clutch as you upgrade your S/C.

I had mine on for 38,000 miles now with a Centerforce DF clutch and no issues. I hit the track on the regular 1/8th and 1/4 when possible. There is one person on the board that said there’s broke in pieces. They won't elaborate on this. I have never heard of an issue with one of these so I believe it was either installed incorrectly, bolts were not torque, or a starter loose. I can't say for sure the person will not give details. Unless he elaborate on this I am calling BS. No issues for 38,000 and counting. I went by the book for the torque and all.

 

is that a stage 3 clutch? and how does the combo feel over stock

 

I would compare it to a stage II and the feel is a little stronger pedal but engagement is close to stock. At the 1/8th once I kept hot lapping and around the 8th run I thought it would start to slip being so hot but it kept gripping strong! I wouldn't use it for anything over 250whp.

 

Yeah, Centerforce DF clutches are more between Stage 1 and 2. They're meant for light - moderate bolt-ons but nothing more.

My Stage 4 Competition Clutch definitely has a stiffer pedal feel, however it's not unbearable.

 

why do u have a stage 4 clutch if your still N/A? for future plans?

just got my car back, trd lsd, clutch and competition clutch flywheel 10 lbs. installed and all i can say its awesome! more pepp...and I agree with B_Real45 you'll love it..Im NA by the way

 

i say get it cause i have a 9.5lb flywheel and my car rev's way faster and now that im boosted it helps me spool quicker as well

 

If you go to the track and race a lot the only diffrence driving you will need to do between shifts stay on the throttle a little if you don't the rpm' drop real fast slowing your shifts down. It will still shift if you don't do this just slower and might grind depending on how far you push your car when you race.

 

just for reference what is the weight of the tc's stock flywheel? does anybody know? ty

 

i believe stock is 12 lb

I’m fairly certain the stock tC’s flywheel weighs 18lbs.

 

How's everyone doin, I am a newbie to this site and came up on your posts. I just ordered my fidanza flywheel, and they told me the flywheel is 8.2 lbs total, and the stock flywheel is 21.12 lbs. They could be wrong, but thats what they told me when I ordered it.

 

Fidanza flywheel is 9LBS and the OEM one is 18LBS. They have done some changes to the Fidanza flywheel and it could have made it lighter and the OEM weight they gave you what year was it for?
