i have a dc header in my possession as i type this and just ordered my megan downpipe and should arrive sometime this week..

i also have a tsudo catback exhaust... the EARLY model... like one of the first ones... sounds really good...

my question is should i be expecting rasp? like ALOT of rasp? i can live with a little and maybe even moderate rasp...

also the silencer is off and got a k&n CAI

***** gonna be loud but oh well...

also, should i really expect to feel a big difference? or no?

also about to buy a crank pulley, but am looking for the kit... e.i. water, air conditioning, etc pulley where casn i look for one of these?

 

If you don't have any resonator by the time you are done, it will sound bad, not just raspy. if you have a small one, it will sound better but with rasp. good luck!

 

well it has ONE 15'' res in the mid... would that help much? i can always put another one...

do you guys think i will need a second res?

once u put all of that on, its gon sound like ****, seriously u gon ben annoyed and embarrased at the same time, so if u have time during the install swap that 15" in resonsator with a 30" or put another 10 or 15" in resonator on that thing....seriously when i put my header on almost the same set up as yours, MMW header spipe, and full megan catback exhaust it sounded like crap, but with a 30" resonator, it sounded great again, still can hear rasp during startups but will go away when it gets hot...

i dont have to worry about that untill 2012 since its 5 years i think for smog here in CALI..

 

i just got an aero ar25 resonator installed on the midpipe of my skunk2 catback. i to have a dc sports header and injen cia. until i got the ar25 installed, i had to leave the silencer in due to how horrid it sounded (i.e. rasp, loudness, rasp... oh, did i mention rasp) anyway, now with the resonator in my tc now sounds a little quieter with 95% of the rasp gone. the tc now sounds really ____ed off!

btw, i live in TX so they just check to make sure you have not thrown a code (obdII test) and don't do a visual. just in case though i have kept my stock mid and axle back...

 

hmmm... well i'll put it on and see what's up... if anything i'll throw another res in the mid...

just FINALLY glad i got my full exhaust!

 

Umm Florida doesn't do smog test or anything of that nature... but is it coming anytime soon that i dont know.

 

yea, it's all a matter of taste... even mine, though i love it now, might be too loud for some who would want a quieter setup. You know the saying: "to each his own..."
