Default Fogs killed my car

So I received the "jdm" fogs today. Followed a DIY on the install on the forums here. However, after I tapped the red wire into a brown wire (i could only find a brown wire with two silver dots*. ........ The fogs didn't turn on.

Long story short; i disconnected all the fog wires from the battery and from the tapped wire.

Now my car doesn't start. Cranks, but no start. Even got a buddy to come jump me, still doesn't start. Keyless works, windows work, everything EXCEPT.....

Headlights. Parking lights come on, but no low beams.

Blown fuse???... I'm so lost right now.... hope nothing terrible happened!

running lights are in the engine bay fuse box and parking brake lighhts are in the drivers side fuse. Check your manual it showers where everything is.

soo..after checking all the fuses, none were blown...appearently it looks like the "middle plug" of the three plugs by the driver's side fuse box... wasn't plugged in all the way?

can anyone shed some light on what does this plug actually control? hopefully it can / may fix the electrical issue ive had with my headlights +..... having a car that runs!!!

yanno.. there's a thing that shows you what it does..

i can't just guess from some explanation what you're talking about.

low beams are both on separate fuses btw.. for both to not work at the same time... you probably really messed up something..

still gonna say you blew something.

okay nevermind, the car starts now.

apparently, the "band of wires" (I was following from a decently written DIY here on the non-oem fog lights install) didn't seem to want to plug back in...

i'm willing to guess this plug controls the main parts of the car, including all the lights, instrument panels, and definitely igniting the car to start! =)

Lesson learned...lesson learned.

*btw, nothing blew or got seriously messed up! whew!*

common problem, you blew your motor bro, if you dont wire and ground correctly, you might blow the welds on your intake as well.

You can blow welds with 12v.........

Glad to hear you got car to start.make sure from now on to disconnect battery as it can get bad and you can fry your car parts pretty easy.
