Default Front Brakes(Weird feeling under heavy breaking)

Ok.. Since the Toyota techs cant figure this out on my TC maybe someone here has had this problem.
When I first start driving in my car after it has cooled down either overnight or been sitting for a couple of hours, I drive down the street and put my foot on the break and the brakes work but then all of a sudden the foot pedal slips and the breaks grab really hard. Almost like there is somthing slipping then grabbing. This happens alot on this little hill that I drive down from where I go work out at. I will let the car sit for a couple of hours as I am out bicycle training, then get in the car drive down a little hill and put my foot on the brake pedal and the brakes start slowing the car down. And then all of a suddend the pedal jumps around a little and the brakes grab really hard. This is not the ABS kicking in. Iknow what that feels like.. This is something totaly different.

Anyone else had this problem...

I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say that you either have a leak somewhere, or your break lines are expanding a lot, causing the brakes to need to re-pressurize.

I'm no car mechanic by a long shot, i'm just guessing as well as I can.

.

I thought about that. And checked fluids and no leaks. It only happens when I first start driving. Then it is fine. Almost like the pads or discs are expanding under heat. Then once heated they are ok. Very Weird...

Possibly something with your brakes..meaning only 1 brake is working then all of the sudden the other 3 kick in and grab.. never heard of this before though.. or possibly you have 3 highly used brake pads and 1 that is brand new..

hum...strange.....how long has this been going on?

well, check brake bias valve maybe, might be braking from back, then jump to front all of the sudden.(causing a feeling like its throwing you forward)

Rotors could be warped slightly, or be bad rotor somewhere...

Bads and Calipers, Air in lines...theres a thousand possibilities, but this is really strange...

If its under warranty and causing problems the dealer HAS to fix it, as thats unsafe...you dont know if your brakes might go all of the sudden down that hill...
