Fuel injector clip install?

Fuel injector clip install?
so I got some ev1 clip style injectors
and I have the ev1 clips from rc, but both wires are black.
For guys that have installed these before let me know if I got this right
1.cut off old clip
2. match up wires (Does polarity matter??) and solder new clip to factory wires
3. plug in clips and go fast.
