Default Fuel injectors

okay im new to the game when it comes to adding power the right way. I have a 07 scion tc and when i accelerate from first gear to second gear and so on my car doesnt seem to keep its momentum going. like, it slows down in btween gears as if i was shifting from first to third. and thats only when racing. so far i have sri, headers, and exhaust. should i get bigger injectors to fix this problem?

Most likely the fuel cut at rev limit that the 07+ got.

I have an 07 also and yes, shift sooner. 5800 rpms is your shift point for a 1st to 2nd. Believe me, I was turbo and it made things even more difficult. If you want, you can swap to an 08 ECU pretty easily but to me it's not worth it to be able to bounce off the limiter.

you will only need bigger injectors if going FI..clean your injectors, and get a throttle controller if you want to accelerate faster

Don't a engine management do the same thing as a throttle controller?

Some piggybacks can control throttle response, but an ems does a lot more than a throttle controller.

it not the same...i have the twp throttle controller and it has 12 mods, 7 in sporting and 3 in economy...i doubt a piggyback can do what this controller can do

the twp is sweet thing just it sucks in SP7 when trying to accelerate hard from a dig because you will spin the ____ out of your tires in first and part of second if you arent careful

Well I'm getting the unichip plug n play soon, I've heard they work good. As far as engine management. Anyone had personal experience with it?

Are you getting engine management or the plug and play? Your story seemed to change...

None the less, you are NO WHERE near needing bigger injectors. The mods you have listed added at most 15 hp to the wheels. This is no where near the need to dump more fuel. As far as getting management, you will get LITTLE gains from them over what the stock ecu can do. I honestly wouldn't waste money on EM until you got more power mods. You won't gain much. Search the forums, read around, learn. Also, raising the rev. limiter won't gain you much, if anything. Especially with your few mods.

Raising the rev limit is fine for a motor with no stroke. Unfortunately for you, the 2AZ is all stroke so torque is your friend. Higher revs aren't going to add any power. It falls off shortly after 5800 anyways unless you're boosted. Short shifting FTW.

Engine management on an N/A stock compression motor is a waste of money. The 07+ ECU's constantly advance timing until it detects knock and then backs off a little to maximize power so anything you tweak with engine management of any kind isn't going to noticeably increase power... especially for 400+ dollars. Look at the Uni-Chip on premium with an intake and cat back, it only yields 5 or less peak HP to the wheels. If you want to go faster without getting inside the motor or going boosted/spray, make it lighter and get better tires. Not bouncing off the limiter helps too
