Default !!!!Fujita Cold Air Intake...Please read!!!!

Has anyone purchased the Fujita CAI for the 2007..if so did you have any problems with it????? i installed mine the other day and the check engine light came on....I double check all fittings, hoses, and was very careful with the sensor i also disconnected the battery for over an hour in order to reset the ECM after 35 miles the check light comes on... i bought a code reader and it says that the problem is the intake...im very ____ed and confused....anyone have any ideas what the problem is???? Thanks in advance

Put it back to stock and take it to a dealer and have them check it out. I think it's the maf that went bad.

Sounds like you've done everything right. If you damaged the MAF sensor that should show up soon after you start up, not 35 miles later.

Might just be an ECU "hiccup". If you haven't already, reset the ECU to clear the CEL - just disconnect the batt negative for 30 seconds - then let the car idle for about 5 minutes. Then take it for a drive - easy does it for the first few miles - & see if CEL comes back.

Hmmm ... this reminds me of the header CEL thread.

Did you read the new code?

OK. Post up the exact code numbers and any other info, even if you think it's not important. It's easier for us to troubleshoot from afar the more details we have to work with.

what's the code? it;s probably p0170, right?

and guys, keep in mind that when you're messing with things in a new car, you may get a cel. that's a part of modding. if it's something that you're very worried about, just leave the car stock. because if you keep modding, sooner or later you WILL throw a code.

incorrect info, the throttle body is the same unit.

the MAF is different, it is smaller than the 05-06. Also, fujita DOES make an 07 intake, you probably damages something when you were installing it. the MAF is very sensitive.
