Hissing sound? did you tighten down everything?

Could just be air being sucked in and you're not used to it.

There is a hissing-like sound when you are idling, and it is very common on almost every type of car I have ever seen after the intake has been upgraded.

By the way if you searched you would've found this thread : https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=20939

it sounds like a blow off valve almost. I talked to a friend of mine who works for toyota and he thinks its cause of poor "breathing" room. So I am going to drill some holes into the splash guard and the vrd vents

no..... if it's the common whistle people are talking about... that's just normal...

doing what you're thinking of doing won't fix anything.
