Hey guys sorry I dont know where this would go, and I did a search but came up with nothing.

I have about 76,000 miles on my '06 tC.
And every time I let go of the gas the car jerks a little as it decelerates, and makes a weird chhh chhh chhiing sound.. I know, not the best description, but it sounds like its happens whenever I am not stepping on the gas and keeps going chhhhhhh~~~~.
Anyone else know what this is?

 

Could be the transmission since it's making the sound when your gears are shifting. Have you changed your tranny oil?

 

Every 15k miles Redline MT-90 Synthetic.
It doesn't happen while I shift. I could just be going let's say 80mph in fifth gear, and as soon as i just let go of the gas the jerking starts and the chh chchchchhhhhhhhhing sound happens.

 

def transmission. not sure what it could be though.

 

oh, then hmm. not sure what it could be, i assumed you had an auto. Take it to the dealer and have a guy ride along with you so they can get a better idea of what it might be. Still under warranty?

I just had the clutch and flywheel switched out.
This problem started way before the switch, I just never got around to posting until now.

 

I have something similiar goin on with my car except its squeeking sound when im in drive either going zero or 80 mph and can hear it when i hit rough roads. who knows what that could be

 

Hm.. if your going on turns or going over bumps and it makes that sound maybe suspension?

My sound is sort of like.. your telling someone to go shhhhhhhhhh

 

Almost sounds to me like some sort of exhaust rattle to be honest...

 

No comes from the engine bay.
I'm thinking maybe the timing belt?

 

well timing belt is on the right side so, can you distinguish which part of the car the sound it coming from? and mine, i hear that sound when im at a light, not just driving.

Does it only do it on decel?

 

i can't hear it if it does while i accelarate.
I don't think it does. I have tried to hear it while I accelerate, but I haven't heard it.

 

It seems to be a deceleration induced sound, and only when there is a load on the tranny, meaning it won't happen in neutral.

I have no idea what it is, nor have I checked it out yet. I have a feeling it's either scratched gears or synchro's, since changing the tranny fluid didn't help.

I was thinking that my head was just playing tricks, and it was just the sound of air induction during engine braking.

 

That would suck so much if it were the gears or synchros. I JUST had the tranny pulled for the clutch and flywheel.

 

Mine makes like a grinding like shhhh noise when i let go of the gas and when i press gas it goes away... i heard its nothing but what do you think?
