Default Gauges

I did a search only found where people where talking about what gauges to use. I am in need of some info on where to get the readings from. I know on some of the old mustang 5.0 the number 8 cylinder always ran the leanest and # 3 on the DSM cars ran the leanest. Does anyone know which cylinder the tC's run the leanest on? I am getting ready to put the EGT gauge in and want to make sure that I use the right one.
On another one where is the wire for the air fuel also?

Thanks a ton for anyone that can help me.

I would suggest you contact one of the gauge manufacturers that makes the type gauge you are considering and ask them. Try egauges.com I found them to be exceptional with their quality and willingness to offer assistance.

ok, I guess I better explain it a little better. Where did you tap into the factory wiring to get the reading from? Where on the tC is the wire you tap into and what color is that wire? that is what I need.

I've never installed gauges, but it's a project I will eventually tackle. I'm a crazy bastard and if I don't figure it out by then I'll probably just end up color matching all the wires and seeing if that works.
Anyways, I hope these help:
- http://robrobinette.com/gauge_install.htm

Someone please do a write-up. BreakAway you did an awesome write-up on the gauge pods, why don't you give it a try.

The guys at the dealership werent any help really either. Does any one know where I can get a print out of the wiring for the car? I can find it in there if I had that. I even took wires all the way out to the 02 sensor and that didnt help either.

well for the narrow band o2 sensor you will have to use the wire on the 2nd o2 sensor (on the s-pipe) because the 1st one is not a normal o2 sensor and will not work with a regular a/f ratio gauge. I hope this helps.

yes that helps. I went down to the second one and there is 2 blacks a gray and a white. I tryed the gray and the guage didnt move. I tryed the white and it read lean and acted like that was the right one. So I ran the wire all up and went for a drive, it stayed on lean when I started it and thought I had it. Well after heading down the road it went from lean back to the blue light which means no signal, It kept jumping back and forth from those two lights. If I gunned it it went to the no signal. Then when I would let off it would go back to the lean light some times. Not always would it go back to lean. But there is no lights inbetween when it did this. This is starting to get really irritating. Any one have any other ideas on getting this gauge right?
