gettin my injen CAI tomoro
I just installed the full CAI on my buddies car and it was a horrible fitment. The pipe was rubbing against the fender and scratched it up pretty bad. Im glad he got the Doc plate, because I had to cut a bunch of metal out that was rubbing against the intake.
I had problem with that hole for the lines too on one I installed, follow them back to where they are anchored and you can move them up jsut enough to fir the holder....takes some time to do but it is doable.
Love the new tag they put on the intake......much bolder than the old one.

I just tried everything. I managed to have the intake far enough away from that tab, but every time you would floor it, you could hear it hit. So a little trimming with an air saw and I fixed that. And the doc CAI cover made it look really nice.
wassup folks.. well remember how i told you guys bout the stupid ugly hole on my intake before
well injen replaced my whole intake wid a brand new one and now everything fits perfectly! even the filter dont move anymore while i tighten the clamp

how muc hare you getting it for? idk if u wana buy it from wer i bought mine so if ever u get the same problem i did den u can just do wat i did or hopefully u can do that from youre gettin you intake
oh iono..maybe its because SRIs are safer and sound better? Plus you dont get squat from a intake besides sound. What one or two more horses? Haha big deal. I can pick my nose and change a battery..those two actions will make more power then an intake on a four cylinder.
putting a short ram in in summer you would lose power over stock air box because of heat soak. I agree that intakes make like no power but why use short ram unless you are spraying.
Less work to remove it when your done with the sound... I mean increased HP.
I found the performance increase to be small if at all. As others have stated it is mostly about the sound.
Also in my exp I found the CAI setup to more of a hassle. When I need to do work on it I would have to partially remove the front bumper and the wheel well splash guard to access the lower portion of the intake. All I need to do with the SRI is open the hood..
1. The Doc I CAI support panel did little to protect the lower portion of the CAI and eventually wore through. Not to mention the rattling it produced. Nothing against Doc I, he was great to work with.
2. The power increase was so small that I found the SRI to meet my needs. I noticed little change when I went from the CAI setup to the SRI.
3. The small metal arm that the Intake is connected to recently broke and I will need to weld it back together.
