GOT MY short ram installed:-d(pics)
yes i love it and the noise is nice and doesnt even touch the fender or hood, and after like 3500 rpm i feel a slight boost..i have a questioon though...
im converting to CAI soon enough and was wondering if the tC can hyrdrolock easily bc there is a underbody cover, its plastic if any of you have seen it, so ieven i went over a puddle i dont know if the water would come up quick enough?? and yeah... does anyone know the diff. in gain?
and what should my next engine mod be??
im thinking NST crank pulleys?
sound good? or...?
thanks guys...

I've got the Injen as well and I haven't had any problems with the water getting through the plastic wheel well cover. Granted, I try to drive as calm as possible in the heavy rain, so the intake isn't going to be pulling air in as hard.
You should be all right if your not planning on driving through standing water. I would also make sure you get the wheel well cover back on as tight as you can when you install the cold air extension.
I think Injen says 12 hp, but I think maybe 5-6 hp is more realistic. But it looks good and sounds nice when you get on it.

Remove the plastic holder with the 2-barbs, and remove screw connecting holder to metal bracket. Use a rubber grommet to bolt the vaccum-switch bracket to the CIA flange. I think 8-32 with a lock nut and some washers would probably be suitable for the install.
I also have a very small rubber damper with 8-32 studs on both sides. This could also be another alternative -would look a lot more factory this way.
I have not tried this myself... give me a couple of days to try it out first. I have a digital DB-meter so I could get before and after readings if I'm able to pick it up over the engine noise.
