Anyone have this combination. The SP2 sounds like a nice quiet exhaust and I would like to know if it sounds ok with a header? I'm ready to buy it, just looking for opinions.

 

i dont have a header but i spent the extra couple of bucks on the greddy evo 2 it looks and sounds so good the sound is a nice low tone but when you open it up people will know your coming but it dont sound like a ricer plus it fills up the cut out perfect almost touches all the way around

 

Thanks, I think the SP2 is a quiter design than the Evo2. The muffler looks completely different. I'm hoping the SP2 is quiet with the header. I don't mind a little rasp, but I don't want the overall sound to be loud.

Otherwise I will buy the TRD exhaust.

 

i was looking into the sp2 but i didnt like the design but the evo 2 isnt overly loud iwas going for a louder exhaust and when i installed thisi must say i was a little disapointed but now i love it

 

the trd exhaust is alot louder than the evo 2 almost to the point of annoying loud and at idle and wheni first start my car you cant even tell i have an exhaust

 

You just made my day. If it's quieter than the TRD then I think that I will buy it. Any pics installed?

i will see if i can get sound clips shortly for you - we have the sp2 on our car right now - some headers are going on for testing the beginning of next week so we will know exactly how it sounds for you

It would've been better if it was an actual cat back...the evo2 and sp2 are axle backs. I wish greddy made a tru cat back for the tc.

Actually, after putting on the S-pipe and header and looking at the stock mid-pipe, I see no reason for a cat back. Only reason would be to add a high flow cat or reduce the bends in the piping. The stock exhaust is actually pretty nice minus the header and the muffler.

 

Ok, the SP2 is on the way. I'll have a sound clip sometime next week with the Megan header and CC S-pipe.

Yeah, im curious to see how the sp2 will sound with a header...cause its a pretty quiet exhaust.

 

Exhaust will be delivered today and installed saturday. I'll have clips then.
