Default Greddy V-Manage

Does anyone have experience with this item. I would like to buy it but I need some feed back on people that actually have it or used it before. Things like is it even worth buying.

I have a Greddy Emanage Ultimate and as far as it changing the way the engine runs its really only good for wide open throttle. I have experienced many problems with this from just bolt ons and no internals. I would recommend a stand alone. Zpi Racing sells the Hydra and Dezod will be releasing the AEM Universal Standalone very soon. I am having problems with controlling my AFR at partial throttle and even at wide open throttle. The oem computer fights the emanage too much and about 25% of the time it won't allow the emanage to control the fuel during wot. If anyone has serious mods then I would definitely recommend standalone ecu. If its just a intake and exhaust then no, but when you have as many bolt on mods as I do you will start experiencing problems.

I was giving him good advice you di9khead! If you know anything of engine management systems they work off of the same principal for it to entirely control you engine it would have to be a standalone. A piggy back system no matter what it is doesn't have full control over your engine even the emanage only controls mine about 75% of the time and sometimes the stock ecu won't allow it. That is what I was saying. It is helpful but if you want the most potential and you do plan on going boost then get a standalone you will have 100% control over your engine. Piggybacks are really one good for WOT. And when you get to my level talk to me.

Well I do own a e-manage Ultimate and I also do know that the V-Manage does another thing entirely. It gives valve control on vvt-i and vtec and others king of engines. If u want to go giving advice on standalones, I think that those a re for the people with big budgets. I had a Dezod Black Box for partial throttle tuning and the e-manage for the rest. The thing is, that even with full bolt ons (We are on drivetrain forums after all) a full standalone is not a good option, BECAUSE ITS SO EXPENSIVE FOR JUST USING BOLT ONS!

I know the v-manage is for valve timing. The problem I am having is my ecu is ____ed off from my mods. I have a good bit of mods without having any internals or turbo and I cannot control my afr, the emanage helps but it still doesn't control it 100% of the time at wot. I also have a dezod black box and it isn't helping my car. I am calling them trying to see whats wrong. When I connect it and leave everything left alone I am idling at 12.0-1 afr. I am giving up for now. I am taking a job overseas for a year and coming back building the motor to the extreme and installing a turbo kit that will keep up with it and I will also be getting a stand alone then.
