Default Has anybody seen one of these?

Hey guys I was recently in a car crash and my stock air intake filter box was broken I was thinking of buying an intake instead of replacing the box. I ran across this one

http://www.ilovebodykits.com/product..._Scion_TC.html

Has any of you guys seen or have one of these? Any quality info? Will it fit my 08 tc?

Thanks for the input

BOMZ IMO is a garbage company. Stick with injen, K&N, fujita,..... I know there may be more but overall follow the you get what you pay for rule

why does everyone say it wont fit?
just because it's not the best quality or am I just overlooking something?

Default cold air intake

they will fit, pics are just for show, one more thing cold are intakes will give you some hp but you'll loose torque on take off. but they sound good. in my opinion after seing so many dynos they have the same volume of air.. no matter brand . except a few that will give you little more than others.. name brand . but for cost just get it but make sure its late 07 and up maf size changed...

its like this a long time ago i build a pc with name brand parts high quality fastest memory and cpu was the fastest ever but my pc never work right, but after returning almost all except for main mother board, and just added none name brands parts its been workng till this day with no problem..
so all you need is a good running engine and good tune , cold air intakes are for looks and sound.. and remember its been a crash.. so give the guy a break.

I have a bomz racing one and I got it to fit. It wasn't the best fitment, but It's in there and I didn't have to use duct tape or anything. I just figured a pipe is a pipe. If Im worried about it, I'll go get a K&N filter, that's where all the differences come from anyways

oh can I so get an "Amen" for Injen :D .... had one of their CAI's on both of my tC's and have NEVER been disappointed in the least with their great quality. They do their research on length, diameter, etc... Obviously CAI's aren't monsters for adding WHP....but on both of mine there were noticable gains... not huge...but on my latest tC the Injen CAI is adding approx 5 whp.... nothing to write home about...but it is better than stock...and sounds great too... IMO

that's one in a few that do and you'll get just a hair differance . Don't take my word for it . Dyno your car with a cheap cai and then install a name brand and you'll see , it's almost like FIC

An intake is a ____ing metal pipe and its been long enough that even the ____tiest chinese knock off is going to be good enough quality to do the job. I mean you take and aluminum tube, bend it, weld on brackets and pop a filter on it..done. As long as they guarantee it fits the quality is no issue.

Oh yea and the BOMZ intake is most likely an exact copy / knockoff of a name brand intake like Injen. The only difference is going to be your not paying a couple hundred bucks for a brand name. Some things you should be weary of knockoff like engine internals and brakes and stuff...But a knockoff aluminum tube isnt going to be bad or give you less power.

Injen, AEM, K&N, they do R&D, I doubt Bomz does which is likely why you've gotten the "no" response.

What happens is they (name Brand) do the R&D and then companies like BOMZ steals their design and copies it so they dont need to do R&D but have pretty much the same product. I dont care how much R&D they do, if you sit in your shop with a K&N, AEM, or whatever name brand intake and bend the same diameter pipe in the exact same places with the same degree of bends and then weld the exact same brackets in the exact same place and put the 'bung' for the MAF in the exact same place and then sell it for $200 less with BOMZ branding whats the big quality / performance difference? Again intakes are just pipes and it always works out that after a couple years the no name brands start rolling out copies that make the same power as the name brand intakes.
