youll need a breaker bar or some pb blaster to get the bolts off

Its real easy. Make sure you are taking off the correct side. The one side if I rememeber correct is nuts welded to the exhuast the other side, the bolt side is the spring bolt that needs loosened. This should be easy. Just takes some strength. I have done 6-7 exhuasts on a tC and it was all fairly easy.

All it is is the two bolts and 3 hangers as seen in this picture.

I still cant get the springed bolts off. Also what happens to the bolts welded to the stock exhaust? My exhaust didnt come with 2 welded bolts or any extra bolts.

if you can get the car up in the air higher, you can use a long tube or something to give you more torque to get the bolts to loosen up. you just need some strength!

Mine didn't come with new nuts either. Anyone know the thread size offhand?

lol I was just gonna ask the same question just now. Thank you for saving me some time to make a new post lol. My car is on Jacks right now, I've been fighting the bolts and it's not loosening either lol. Just got back with WD-40 we'll see how that goes.

yep its a 14mm. and its the bolt you wan t to loosen, not the nut. make sure you are going righty tighty lefty loosey. Its easy to go the wrong way when upside down. Use a breaker bar if needed or take two big box wrenches and use one for leverage.

They WILL come off if you have the strength to get them off.

Did anyone have to put on new nuts with their exhaust? My Megan oem didn't come with any hardware. I'm trying to find the thread pitch of the spring bolts. I couldn't find a match in my re-threading kit. TIA
