Default Header / S-Pipe / Midpipe / Resonator combo

well i tried the search method but as usual, most header threads are about rasp.

what i have:
injen CAI
tanabe concept-g axle-back

what i want:
4-2-1 style header
s-pipe
mid-pipe w/o cats or resonators (i dont want it to come with any resonators already on it)
3rd party resonator to be welded on

im looking for a straight-up minimal rasp, best overall HP / TQ, all bolt-ons. i believe i read that the megan s-pipe has to be clamped onto the midpipe, which i don't like. i don't want a high-flow cat, just a resonator (or 2 if needed).

looking for helpful input, flamers keep to the F/I section please.

everyone has there preferences.
what i have now is.

injen sri.
alphawerks header (4-1)
stock s-pipe
skunk2 catback
midpipe has a 24in magnaflow resonator.

this set up is pretty nice for me.
i lose a bit of low end power
anything after 3500 rpm its pure gain =P

it is a bit loud cus the axleback section.
(skunk2 being known for being loud.)
if i just change that it should be fine.
no vid's right now =/ but i like it =D

but yeh any straight-pipe will give you a lot of rasp..
think of an srt-4 going full throttle =P

but best of luck to ya.
finding that setup you like.

well i have experimented with several headers and i have some vids that might help you decide on your selection

This vid is with a 4-2-1 DC header.. the setup at the time is a trd cai , invidia s pipe , stock midpipe with a 33" magnaflow resonator and a tsudo axle back exhaust.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tt30nyBRMmA

this is one is the same setup except it has a megan header 4-1 style header.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81NsmyFTZto

all these setups gave me rasp at about 4200rpms and up .

Currently im running the same setup except i have a megan header 4-1 with a cat on the header that i purchased from some one on here i get no rasp with this setup but i dont have vids yet.

oh and performance wise the dc header is better than the megan with this setup ... unless your looking to flooring it alot then the megan header is . i hardly ever floor it so the dc header had better gain through out the power band...

thanks for the replies thus far, jj ill check out those vids in a few mins. also @jj, by 'flooring it' i guess you mean going near redline, as opposed to WOT?

This is my setup-

DME 4-1 header
Invidia s pipe
Magnaflow high-flow CAT
18" Magnaflow resonator
22" Magnaflow resonator
Tanabe Medallion Touring Exhaust

Spent a lot of time and money trying to piece together an exhuast that didn't sound like a rice monster.

With this setup I may not be getting the most hp but I am able to drive my car without being embarassed by the typical rasp.

Quiet when I want it to be and then at WOT is sounds quite nice.

xde, JJ posted 2 vids of his base setup.

also, now im thinking maybe a 4-1 setup might be better cause i really don't need low-end power... when im looking to go fast my shift-point is going to be high anyways
