Will the car sound any different with an aftermarket header,(DC or alphawerks) while still having stock exhaust? I would think it wouldnt make a difference in sound as long as the rest of the exhaust it stock, but i heard otherwise. Anyone have a header with stock exhaust?

 

yeah i wanna know this as well. I was planning on getting header and s pipe first, then wait till those break in....so ill be keeping the stock exhaust...how does it sound?

 

i have the megan header with stock exhaust and it doesn't sound much different.. maybe a little louder in the higher RPMs, but you can't really hear the difference because I have the K&N intake.

 

yes i have teh AW headers on my stock car

youll hear the headers from low RPM to 5 RPM. and ull definitely fill a pull.

does it change the tone a lot by having the AW header and the stock exhaust? id like the benefit of the headers but without the butt sound that can go with them. hopefully the CC spipe will help with all that. thanks

 

ull hear a lil rasp but as more u drive (lik me) the rasp dies down more and more. and the hotter it is outside, less rasp.

and intakes help out by drowning out the rasp too BTW.

 

by more you drive you mean more miles put onto it right? or the more you drive in the day? sorry for so many silly questions.
