I have a 4-1 header in my Tc and my friend is selling is 4-2-1 header. Whats the difference?? and would it be worth swapping it out??

 

4-1 is the best it means all four the the header pipes into one to the s-pipe less holes more air if that makes sence

 

what brand is the one hes selling?

 

His header is a Tsudo. i have a strup header and i didnt know if i should switch to the 4-2-1 or stick with the 4-1.

You wont notice anything at all...my bud has a 4-1 and i have the weapon r...they BOTH sound like crap without resignators and dont add much power wise. I didnt feel anything.

 

I believe that's wrong. Well, most people prefer a 4-2-1 anyway. You end up with more power that way and more on the low end. You're not forcing all of the exhaust from 4 pipes instantly into one. It's gradual and more controlled.

That's how I understand it anyway.

Yeah i heard that you get more power lower end on 4-2-1's but now i got to get rid of my header.

 

4-2-1=more low to mid rpm power
4-1= more top end rpm power

 

If it was the weapon R then good trade,but since it is not.......no offesne to Tsudo owners......stick with the strup......it is a nice looking header....power wise no real noticed gains at all.

i had the dc header 4-1, i hated it. It was so raspy i had to take it out.

 

streettimetc basically hit it dead on. go with what you are looking for, more top end or a better low to mid range. but i don't like the 4-1 they take too long to get into the power band(90 mph+) and don't do much for the low end power. mid range they start to but not that noticeable. 4-2-1 are much better and still provide a decent increase in top end but are not focused on that aspect of the power band.

 

4-2-1 is what I am getting cause its better!
