Default headers? mmw, megan, or dme?

ok im stuck idk what to do? im ordering my header in the next week and idk which one to pick. if i choose the mmw it comes with the s pipe. ok thats cool and all but if i get the megan or dme then they will be cheaper but probably not after i have to buy an individual s pipe. i juss want to know the main difference between the three yes i have used the search button but i still dont really know i guess it might juss be my own preference but i would like a lil input on them by people who own them. i have heard that the mmw has had fitment issues. thats the last thing i want is fitment issues

i say if you want the most power mmw FTW. and on weaponspeed.com you could get it pretty cheap and it comes with the antifoul mod

I really love my MMW header, what I hated was the install.....it takes a lot of work to get it in the motor bay........a lot of work.......

DME looks like it is a good header to get.......easy install.

What makes MMW so hard to install is it is a lot longer than all the others and the lower flange is halfway under the motor when installed......

You have to pull your fan shroud, loosen the radiator or remove it and have at least 2 people help to get it in....also take out the dip stick......but it does work great.

DME header from ebay around 200 bucks

Megan s-pipe 150 ...... 350 total ... I also suggest getting the custom angled antifouler from InLikeFlint on this message board ... works great

yea. MMW are a lil tricky but once u do it you kinda get the way to do it. pretty easy after that. def MMW FTW though. and no the MMW give u mid and high range power and more at that. all other headers are pretty much high end and not as much. with the MMW u get what u pay for.

I would totally get MMW if I were in the market. Even with them being twice the price of the others.

well compare price first, the DME can be found for $108 in LA PUENTE,CA. so now you have $300 bucks to spare for the downpipe and whatever else you get my point.

There's a big difference between the 4-1 DME/Megan and the 4-2-1 MMW including SPipe and antifouler.

not from what mmw was comparing on here in another post, the only differance was they have a down pipe so it looks to be a slight gain but add that to any header and its almost all the same other than looks. i think it's kind of like that ARC intake box that uses the oem tube and cost around $400, you tell me that not the name being payed for even though mmw put alot of work to design very nice header.

From what I understand, 4-2-1 will keep more of your lower end power than a 4-1 (where you'll typically lose out on the low end).

The first gen MMW had a fitment issue with the pipe rubbing the drive axel......that was corrected......the first gen was also a 2 piece header with a top and bottom that was held together.

the new one they have out now is a perfect fit.

ERZ Performance is where I got mine.......header comes with its own Spipe and the L shaped anti fouler...I paid $446 shipped and it arrived in 3 days.

Figure you buy the DME.....for $185 plus shipping.....then you need the Invida S pipe or Megan S pipe......not sure onthe price......but figure $115 plus shipping.

then you need the antifouler and on the MMW you have limited space for the antifouler so the L shape one they send with it is much easier to use than many.....and many antifoulers do not seem to have good success withthe MMW header for some reason.....but the MMW anti fouler works everytime from what I have seen.

So if you piece it all together you are only about $80-120 less than the MMW......go with MMW.

what ever puts a smile on your face and that it's exactly what you wanted is the one to get over cost, but in the end will sell are parts to a newbie like we were once and buy another car.

if you want a good header with the best gains for the tc DME would be the best cause its made by the same design as the Alpherwerks header...

Megans header i dont recommed..you loose alot of power.... DCsports is ok but rust quicker...

MMW is good but expesince but comes with the S-pipe and has the less rasp to it

All kidding aside.

I say get either the MMW or DME.

If your gonna get help installing it, or feel comfortable doing an install get the MMW.

Otherwide get the DME.

Price is negligible. Since i'm sure you'll be spending more later on, hahaha.
