so far the only 4-2-1 is MMW i believe. pushing 19hp? the dyno on it was shown to be 26 with other mods but i think i read somewhere here that just the header was 19hp. and the rest of 4-1 (DC, AW, and Megan) i have no idea what they are pushing.

i have no input on the pulleys cause i havent read much on them. all i know is that its much lighter, MUCH lighter.

I believe the 4-1 desigh will give more upper rpm power, where as the 4-2-1 give a more even powerband. You will prolly lose alittle lower rpm power with the 4-1 but get more in the upper over the 4-2-1.

As for the pulley. I have ZPI my dyno gained 11.5 whp and 18 ft lbs of tq

lighter means less work for the engine..... youll notice better throttle response and faster RPM speed with a pulley.

The MMW header is NICE. If you have the extra cash I would say definitely go for it.

And as far as pulleys go, I would highly recommend some from www.NonStopTuning.com
Their underdrive crank pulleys increase WHP and the fact that they are so much lighter than stock aslo leads to a much more responsive engine throughout the RPM band.

Ok does anyone know how much the pully is. The website doesn't list a price. Also are there any other places to get one. I just installed the Injen CAI and I am now addicted to horse power. I couldn't belive howmuch just the CAI made. I am wanting to go header and then exaust. This pulley is something that I didn't think of. Any info guys and gals and I will be very apreciative.

The NST pulley is $125 and can take upto a month before you get it. They are made to order. ZPI also sells a pulley however theirs is $145 I believe. Also NST only makes pulleys so personally I would go with them.

NST has several different options when it comes to pulleys, so it depends on your needs. Either way, they have you covered like a jimmy hat!!!

If you have a n/a or a turbo tC you should go for their underdrive crank pulley. $99, available in different colors, always in stock. Best bang per buck, PERIOD!

If you have a TRD supercharged tC you should go for their oem diameter crank pulley. $125, available in different colors, special order. They also have overdrive supercharger pulleys to raise boost. Badass stuff!

You can get all of this info from them yourself, as well as answers to any other questions. Just look for them on AIM, NSTonAIM is their screen name.

I am curious about the pulleys and any long term problems associated with them....i have read all kinds of things ranging from people saying they are great and cause no problems to people that swear it will wear down stuff and cause problems over time.....please i need to be informed about this with nonbais facts not opinions...
a header is next up in the future and then i will probably go after the pulleys but i need to be reassured that it is safe for the engine and other internals before i install!!!! Thanks in advance!!

There are all sorts of articles recommending not using an undampened pulley. From guys like Steve Dinan of Dinan Engineering and all those guys who write Engineering Physics books.

ATI is the only company I would ever buy an aftermarket pulley from, should they ever go public with it. They will be the only ones that have a damper on them, while ZPI and NST do not. I believe that one 300whp All Motor racecar tC is using one from ATI.

Without a damper, you're playing Russian Roulette with your engine, kissing your warranty goodbye, and only gaining 7 or 8 horsepower. Oh yea, that's worth it

ok now my question is this. They have the %20 Alternator and water pump kit for $160.00 Does that mean that I also have to buy the %20 underdrive crank for $99.00. Will that give me the total package? Also what will the alternator pully do for my stereo. Does it give me more volts?
7-10 horses for $100 bucks hellz yeah _____es sign me up.

Yeah man, I think you have to buy the $160 kit plus the $99 crank pulley to get the full set. That's what it looks like from looking at their website. The NST alternator pulley will speed up your alternator and allow it to reach full charge sooner than it would with the stock pulley, it would be pretty helpful for you if you have a big stereo system or lots of lights and stuff.

$100 bucks for 7-10 horses is unheard of and definitely kicks @$$.

And I wouldn't worry about the internet horror stories you hear about pulleys. I have been running NST pulleys for more than 50,000 miles myself and I have seen NST sponsored cars on race tracks all over the state for the past couple years. Their stuff ROCKS
