Default heatshield and tsudo exhaust

I just got my tsudo exhaust installed and the place that did the midpipe for me because i couldn't get some bolts off, had to grind down one of the bolts holding the heatshield on... and it still vibrates against it, i was wondering if that heat shield is even necessary? it's the one that is close up to the S-pipe.

I had a shop torch the bolt away, so the heatshield stays on but doesnt rattle. The only downside is that the heatshield can no longer be installed again if it's taken off.

alright. I haven't looked at it in a few days, but is it just the bolt it will be rattling against or is it the whole shield itself?

Well I had a couple issues with mine.
The resonator was hitting the bolt, and the second piece of the midpipe was hitting the heat shield so I hammered the heat shield a bit to bend it.

haha alright... i'll probably have to grind down the bolt a little bit more... i'm just wondering if it even does anything.. .just like how you can remove the heatshield for the header and it not do anything either

Yeah, but I highly suggest leaving the ones under the car on
