Default HELP: 1 Week Old Megan Cat Exhaust: not that loud anymore

Just got a Megan Racing Drift-Spec Catback Exhaust installed last week. It's in PERFECT Condition. Bought it from a great guy. The day installed, and few days after the exhaust sounded like a F'in BEAST!

Now.. it just sounds like a TRD Exhaust. Same amount of weight that was in the car then, is in the car now. Same brand of gas. What happened? Does it have anything to do with the ECU or is something loose? Or maybe the Cold Weather?

I'm all jittery and ____ and need some piece of mind. And in case you need to know, the only other mod I have is an Injen CAI. That was on before the Megan Install.

THANKS!

I wish that was it. All my buddies that heard it and sat in the car the night it got installed definitely noticed a large decrease in volume.

I would check to see if something is loose. I have the same exhaust. And it sounds mean as hell. I bought off os someone on here and installed it myself. A few days after I installed, it got loud as poop, but then I got under the car and tightened the bolts and she sounds puuuuuurty again.

Sound like I'll raise her up soon and see if I can tighten her up.

Should I have reset the ECU after installing the exhaust?

after you install the exhaust, turn on the car, walk around it three times counter clockwise, then turn it off, walk around it 3 times clockwise, then you should be good.

you might have a leak where the pipe connects to the s pipe, same happened to me. i had a huge leak there after about 2 weeks of installing it and i got alot quieter from that.

i have a leak in my secondary reesonator i have installed...as the pipe heats up, the exhaust gets tone changes, goes from a raspy, ricer exhaust at cold to a lower one...kinda neat, but i can hear the exhaust puffing out of the pipe....still workin on gettin that fixed.

LEAKS!?

What should I expect?

Seriously though.. I have no idea what to expect.. Checked the back two bolts, they are fine. If anything.. maybe the bolts connecting to the S-Pipe.

I'm raising my car tomorrow (yes I have jack stands, lol) to take all wheels off to paint the stockers!

Let ya' know what I see.
Thanks.

Sounds like you may of had a leak after installation.. and then the heat sealed something up. Quieter exhaust doesn't mean something went awry.

What's up with the ricery on Scionlife lately? Give me a QUIET exhaust, please.
