yeah it doesnt. lol start off with getting the supercharger. Prolly yur best bet. Expensive but it warrantied and itz legal. Then you get minor things like exhaust. I raced a S/C tc.. I got smoked. If only i had the money for one. I have a feeling yur parents bought you this so ask your mom to get you a supercharger.

you have to check your local laws.

depends on how your state inspects vehicles.

you have to have seatbelts, airbags, functioning running lights (low beams, turn signals, brake lights, and they have to be their proper colors) and a catalytic convertor.

some states have laws about how loud exhaust can be.

i think nitrous is illegal in some states, but i'm not sure.

Doesnt yur state require smog checks? Probably wont be as bad as CAli but if you guys do then it involves a visual inspection. Even if you have cat's you'll fail the visual inspection that is if you guys have one.

i can gurantee that the supercharger will not give you the performance that you are looking for....the horsepower increase just isnt that impressive....

any performance shop could build you a turbo kit for your tc and it completely legal....but your talking alot of money and voiding your warranty asap....start small and work yourself up....i would go for exhaust and intake from TRD and lower the car and see how you feel about it then....your young....there is always room for more modifications in the future....you said yourself that you know nothing about cars....so dont push it....start slow...

1st - how do you know how much performance he's looking for?
2nd - horsepower increase isn't impressive? After turbo and Nitrous, the SC is the highest HP mod you can do.
3rd - He wants street legal. Turbo and nitrous are not, sooooo what does that leave us with? Oh right, the Supercharger.

"i would go for exhaust and intake from TRD" - so the SC horsepower increase isn't impressive, but the 6 hp increase from the TRD Exhaust and Intake are? You don't make any sense.

Bottom line on the SC - It's perfect for anyone who wants to add around 40-50 hp to the wheels, keep the cars sounding stock (no raspy buzzing exhaust necessary), able to pass emmissions, and warrantied. Call me when a turbo or I/H/E can get you all of these things.

Also, when you find a way to pass emissions in NJ with a turbo kit, call me and I'll buy one.
