<--- Those work really well. You just put it on the bolt and it'll dig into the bolt so you can remove it. I stripped my exhaust bolt because it was rusted so i hammered that on and tried taking it off and it worked really well. You'll have to buy a new bolt but those are cheap. Also, you won't need every bit in that kit so you can go to sears and pick up a smaller pack. I think mine was $12

you put on WD-40 and let it sit for about 10-20 minutes. then come back and try again. just be sure to get a good grip or else you might strip the bolts if your wrench or whatever slips...

at least thats what i did...

sounds dumb. but start your car and let the exhaust warm up. the metal will expand and the bolts will be easier to get off

^makes no sense at all...yes the exhaust is metal and when metal heats it expands, however the bolts r metal too so wouldn't they expaned just as much?

i'm sure a local shop would take the 2 bolts off for cheap. But if you end up stripping the bolts that bolt remover kit from sears is a great investment.

get a flathead screwdrive, and spray wd-40 on both the hanger and the rubber mount

actually it might work, but he would be better off focusing the heat on the nuts with a torch...

if the bolts are in good shape - an impact wrench will do the trick ;) but if youre beyond that and the heads are stripped my recommendation from personal experience - if you have access to the equipment - is to weld a nut thats larger than the bolt head to the head of the bolt =- make a secure weld all the way around - the heat from the weld will help the bolt to release and wrench her out using a 1/2" breaker bar ;) I stand by this method as i used it to remove countless large bolts along with the two i stripped the heads on, on the fly wheel when i was tearing down the motor

We always used a torch after WD40 to break up the rust holding it on.WD it and wait 30 minutes then hit it with a torch to heat up the bolts, then wait for it to cool and use a good wrench, make sure it is not a 12 sided wrench, use a 6 sided one and it will come right off.
