Help, I goofed on short shifter install
So I was installing the TWM stage 2 and I accidentally popped the rod all the way out before I had a chance to look at the way the spring on the left side of the shifter was positioned. Can anyone explain or a picture would be great. Any pictures I have found do not show the position of that spring.
So I guessed on the position of the spring and tried it out and everything seems to be ok. The spring keeps the shifter centered when in neutral which is what it is supposed to do so I guess I must have done it right. I hope.
I just did mine today.
The spring comes from the big circle part to a little *** on the bottom sprung on either side
so that when you put it back on, the black *** on the cage goes in between both ends of the spring. This keeps the shifter "sprung" towards the middle when in neutral.
I hope that helps you. Cause i just reread that and I'm still wondering what the hell i'm sayen.

Yeah that sounds like the way I ended up doing it. The only thing is there are two ways of doing that.
You can either squeeze the two ends of the spring together and get the two ends to cross then one on each side of the black ***. That's what I did.
Or you could pull the two ends apart to get one on each side of the black ***.
I think both ways would probably work but I am just wondering which way is correct.
