I think he was just joking about the head gasket He went back and edited it to exhaust manifold gasket
i was worried that soap and water would evaporate before i got to see results...

and if its leaking this bad you think i can still re-use it?? how do i make sure that it makes a reall good seal....both of the spring loaded bolts are very tight and its still leaking...do in need to adjust something??

and i see that now...

Look at the gasket...is it mushroomed? Is it split? Does it look damaged?

Those spring loaded bolts can be a PITA to actually get tight so are you sure they're tight. Are you pushing up on the s-pipe to get that good seal while tightening the bolts?

ill have to check the gasket out...i dont have the time today to...

the bolts are tightened to the point where the springs are almost fully compressed....but i didnt push up on the s-pipe while tightening....that could be my problem...do you think if i loosened them and then pushed and re-tightened with-out fully removing it would accomplish the seal??

You don't have to take it way off. You can tell if the gasket is split by loosening it. Just check the condition of the gasket because it can slide, in which case now you have a split gasket.
