help with my plans
Alright well as of now my motors stock. Ive been having money problems but am now able to save up.. Well I just got my 18 inch rims with kdw 2 tires and am thinking about lowering my car and putting a sway on it with the extra 350$.. Hopefully it will handle much better and i'll be able to hit turns much faster.. But then im going to save up and do this setup since the tc is kinda underpowered.. I was thinking Megan headers (already have), Skunk 2 exhaust, individua s pipe, nst pulley kit, injen cai, and a torque damper, for engine mods, put it all on at once will this increase the power enough for a while, and also would a 18-22 inch resonator make it sound good and delete rasp. Im hoping to get better power everywhere in the power band with this setup but i know it will mostly be up top.. So what are your guys suggestions? thanks
why you even going to answere if it isnt going to help my question i was asking to get some of your expert help from people whove got this setup or close to it...... can anyone help so i can do this right? thanks
that is about every bolt-on part you can buy for under the hood except for some type of forced induction.
you should know by now, the answer to this is everywhere.
but look. intake, header, exhaust. it is all just plumbing, pipes, tubing, they aren't going to add that much hp. i'd guess with everything, you might get nearly 20 whp increase at peak.
and also, get about 30 inches of resonators.

well how much will it cost to kill rasp and what size resonater.. Also did you think it was a good increase in power after i/h/e... One more if my setup will sound bad do you know of a better setup? thanks
well you would have to put on 2 of the 20'' resonators on the mid pipe or one big one like a 30'' but the 2 seperate ones would be better i thinhk.
The intake gets you more punch when you get on the gas and sounds real nice,
the header and exhaust add to the high end power also, doesnt seem liek it takes forever to reach your shifting point lol

sounds good i have a couple more questions. 1. Do you know of any other full exhaust that sound, perform and look good for less than 500$? 2. how much are resonators, where can i get them, and it wont take away some of the power im trying to gain will it? 3. I was driving up a mountain in w.v the other day and the speed limit was 55.. Well it was decently steep and out of corners on straights i could only get the car up to like 70-75 mph then ran outta power, after my i/h/e and pulleys do you think ill be bale to get up faster than that? and 4. After you did i/h/e did you think it was a good power increase and get satisfied by it for a while? Thanks for the answeres guys i appreciate it....

get the ARK DT-S catback .... it bolts up to the stock cat ... or you can get a high flow 2.5 inch cat. The ark definitely sounds the best with headers ......
you can find it for 700 shipped if you look in the right spot .... It may be the most expensive but i think it sounds the best...

well you already have megan header, so iwould go with megan s pipe, i have it and its great, i'd go to a muffler shop and have them do a mid pipe and put resonators on it for you, and the tanabe concept g, ldoesnt have that huge fart can look and will help delete the rasp.
as for resonators, they dont really delete power, just muffle the sound
tanabe concpt g is like 350, megan s pipe like 180, muffler shop will cost you about 200, not quite 500 but it is a full exhaust...

throw your megan header in the trash because well... that's what it is.
power on a budget doesn't exist. If you want minor gains, just like drax said, its gonna be intake/header/exhaust. and if you get quality parts you will be at around $1,500.
as for your suspension, lowering the tC and sway bars do wonders for the tC. Unless you plan on racing (auto-x) in competition, you're good to go there.

oh.. and pulleys.... more so the crack pulley, don't waste your money. do your homework on it, and find out what that's a horrible purchase. some people will disagree with me to the max, but oh well... i guess that's why they said ignorance is bliss.
well i already have the megan headers like i said but need help with exhaust guys, what do yall think for a good exhaust? also every one that talks about light crank pulleys love them why dont you like them?
for pulleys, i coulnd't feel a single difference. get a lighter flywheel, and that's when you'll actually feel a difference. and for your headers, get whatever exhaust you want, and fix the sound from there, adding on resonators, cats etc.
alright cool, how much are resonators though, and just one last question, did you feel and get satisfied by the new power from i/h/e setup thanks guys i guess ill save up and use my knowledge to try and make a sweet setup.. peace
