If you really want to race... gather up all of your friends and look up your local SCCA region and start autox or something. It's a great way to spend a weekend and IT IS LEGAL. You'll have a blast doing it and it is so much ridiculously safer than ANY type of racing on the street.

 

You are 17. You know how to drive, literally speaking. But you have no concept of driving and controlling a vehicle (even though you think you do).

And if you knew about cars... you wouldn't come onto a forum like this asking what performance mods you could do on the cheap.

 

never say never, your too young to ruin your's and your friends lifes. just because you have a license doesnt mean you know how to drive.

header will give u more gain and more rasp, CAI won't give u as much, but sounds cool and can increase mpg (i think). flux capacitor will give u infinite gains.

No, it's not my job to tell you what to do... but when what you do affects countless others and puts their lives at risk, you can bet your ___ that I'm going to give my 2 ... or even 4 cents on the matter. And yes, it is to talk about cars... and sometimes that involves the stupid, idiotic, and potentially dangerous things people do with them.

I realize you're still just 17 and know everything and have done everything and seen everything in this world and no one can tell you different and you can do anything and there are no consequences and it'll never happen to you and that's not your problem and you're invincible... but take a minute to think next time your "friend" wants to "race," it might not be the brightest idea.
