High pitch wistle on Injen?
Hey all. Have any of you experianced a high pitch whistle on an Injen SRI? It seems to happen around the 2400-2900RPM mark and will sustain untill i drop below or above that range then it dissapears. Its pretty loud with the widows down, and you can still hear it in a closed cabin, but not by much. I have checked all the connections and clamps and everything is very tight and secure. Its driving me nuts. Also does anyone know if that is because its an SRI and not CAI?
For those wondering, i have it as an SRI until i have time to pull the bumper to install the rest of it. Damn work schedules...
If anyone can shed some light on this it would be most appreciated.

please search next time...but to ease your mind, this is normal regardless of the type of intake. All intakes whether SRI or CAI make this noise...it's the rush of air coming through...don't worry...it's all good

I tried a couple searches but nothing came up. I dont remember my old car (saturn SL2 lol) with its SRI making this noise, but then again i havent had an intake on a car in over a year. I know the usual intake sound, but this is a very sharp whistle. Enough for other people to stare at me when im driving. Other than that whistle the intake is silent at that rpm.

It caught me of guard when I first heard the whistle, I was following an Evo thru a canyon thinking it was his BOV... until he pulled off and I was still hearing it.

it whistles even when stock... it's just more defined and louder with an aftermarket intake.
very normal. don't worry about it.
