Angry HKS "Brita" Knockoff

Here is a picture of the "HKS" BOV that Turbokits.com supplied my friend with in his Turbokits.com/E-Bay Special Custom Turbo-Kit next to a sink Brita filter. The similarities are amazing! It was advertised and verbally agreed upon that the kit include an HKS SSQV. This is what he actually received and now his sink goes "pssshhh" everytime he turns off the tap! LOL Just to make things clear before Jesse goes on a rant, they did eventually ship him a real HKS SSQV and claimed they didn't know how the knock off one got into their "custom" kit. I emphasize the "custom" because the only parts that seemed to be designed by Turbokits.com are the Intercooler pipes, IC support bar, and the raw downpipe. The manifold is an E-Bay special, the turbo is not a watercooled BB version of the turbonetics turbo but it is at least a real turbonetics turbo, the wastegate is a Turbo Concepts WG (the ones PTuning won't touch because of their fluctuation in boost and the fact that the top fell off of one on their dyno before), and the piping they did make doesn't clear the stock fans like it should when you clock the turbo just far enough away from the clutch cylinder and transmission casing. Not to mention you cannot use the NPT fitting on the compressor to run to the wastegate because its too close to the clutch cylinder. A plug had to be shaved down in order to get the clearance and the drain on the turbo has clocking clearance issues with the cold side seal bolts. At least the intercooler was huge and shiny!

All in all, very poorly designed kit and would not recommend this to my worst enemy. Especially for 4300 bucks! E-Bay shopping spree on their part FTMFL!

Sorry Jesse, I had a great experience with you guys in buying my authentic Turbonetics V2 kit and therefore is the only reason you have $4300 of his money in your pocket right now because I recommended he go through you to get the exact same kit, but you have disgusted me with the quality and fitment of the parts you've included in your "custom" kit. Maybe I could understand if it only was $2500 but look at your competition in that price range.... (PTuning, Dezod, World Racing, Turbonetics)... you are getting smoked. And the tune you sent, the one that had no MAF map or O2 map at all??? What are you thinking?

Sorry to bring up the flaming again but it needed to be said.

The money issue is up to him, I simply helped him put it together and make things fit under there. I told him from the time we pulled everything out of the boxes that I didn't like what I saw. Some sort of re-imbursement for doing most of Turbokits.com's research and development for them would be a nice gesture but I'm too far past being nice at this point. It's up to them to save their reputation.
