Hks, Carbon Ti exhaust for the tc
Well after a long time waiting, I finally got my HKS carbon fiber ti exhaust installed and roaring, from the sound of it to the looks, this thing is unbelievable, I had a local exhaust shop make the pipe and install it. From everyones thoughts on it, we all seem to agree that is has a sound of a Subura Wrx sound without the blow off valve. Very throaty and deep, kinda has the sputter too in first and second gear, then getting on it with my Injen Technology cold air makes it sound like a jet leaving a runway, very quick sounding and great pickup. I just replaced from the axel back with new piping and put it at an angle, left the cat and all, still trying to decide whether i want to get rid of the cat or not, but the Injen tech cold air and the HKS carbon muffler are a great pair for anyone looking for a couple of nice mods. Nothing but compliments on either one so far from a lot of people.
will try to get pics up as soon as possible, overall, everything cost me 330 for the whole setup on the exhaust, the intake which is the black injen tech was 230, I also have tanabe df210 springs, won't be installed until monday, will try to get pics up for all three.
So what your saying is that you bought the muffler and had the shop do a custom pipe cat back set up, JDM leaned kinda like the nitto tC. I'm sure there is a better pic of the exhaust out there of the exhaust.

Out of that $330, what was muffler and what was custom exhaust?

that is basically what it looks like, theirs is a little different being it is a bigger muffler, of course because of the turbo they needed a bigger outlet, and they had to put theirs at more of an upward tilt because theirs is longer, not just bigger. Mine as far as I know is the same sideways angle just not up that much, this car is actually where I got the idea, that i know of, and someone correct me if I am wrong, Me and Kenny Tran are the only two with a carbon ti muffler on our tc's.
yeah i have to say it is a nice sounding exhaust Ive had mine now for five months now. When i first had it installed the muffler guys welded a 2 half inch pipe (axle back). Alot more high end power, really slow on pick up so I had them take it off and install a 2 and quater pipe. Finally got the low end back. I paid about $310.00 for just the exhuast cannister from ebay. And the aluminum piping and install 100.00 bucks. If your willing to spend the money its a nice sounding exhaust. Nice growl to it.
