Hello everyone, long time lurker, first time poster. I’ve been trying to decide which exhaust system to get, but I got confused on the HKS Hi-Power exhaust. I can’t figure out if the HKS Hi-power is a catback or an axleback. When I go to froogle.com, and search for “scion tc hks exhaust” I get a bunch of different exhaust systems claiming to be a cat or axle back. Does HKS make both? According to hksuas.com, they only make one exhaust system for the TC, and it is part #32003-BT001. HKS describes it as a rear section exhaust system… so I’m still confused. Can anyone explain this to me and straighten this newbie out?

The HKS exhaust is just an axle-back.

 

really? i would look in to getting a full exhaust rather than an axleback.
a good exhaust will always yeild more gains than a good axleback.

full exhaust > axleback

 

it is an axleback, but you can take it to any muffler shop and convert it to a catback...just have them do the work

 

or you can get a megan mid pipe with it, it would be a little pricey though
