Default HKS HI-POWER OR INJEN EXHAUST

i am just about to buy an exhaust for my tC, but i dont kno if i should buy an axle back HKS HI-POWER or the Catback Injen exhaust....

i want something thats has a deep tone to it and sounds nice, NOT HI PITCHED!!!

i like how the HKS sounds but does the Injen sound similar????

they sound very similar...the HKS though is a little deeper and the Injen's piping hangs a little too low for my taste...i know it would scrape

i have the injen, and it has a deep tone to it, alot beter then anyone that lives by me, every one buys these cheep ___ exhausts that sound like a srt-4 that just drove off a car lot....

i have a drop on my car, uimmm i scrape every now and then the inner tubing does hang alittle low, but it is a really nice exhaust system, i can try to some how record it if it helps and get it on the web, well i can try =p

The HKS sounds and looks a little too ricey. The injen sounds deeper for sure and doesnt look so ricey big like the HKS. If ur used to driving extremely low cars like me, the low piping of the injen is fine and managable. And yeah neworldOZ, id like to hear a sound clip of your car.

Canister exhausts look way too rice for me. I prefer stuff along the lines of Greddy SP2, Magnaflow, Precision Muffler, etc. They look nice and classy and sound great and sporty.

if u want to hear and compare the exhausts...go here
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=103820
I'm not knockin on the Injen...i also like it for an axleback...but to say that it's not "ricey" and "ricey big" is a little off...it looks the same as the HKS and is only 1/2" smaller in diameter. If you like the cannon look try the following: HKS hi-power, Injen SES, Ark N2, Tsudo N1, Megan, Greddy Evo2
If you like the OEM look...there's a lot more such as: Greddy SP2, magnaflow, PM, ARK DT-s, TRD, Megan OE, FLowmaster, ZPI, Borla...check the link, you'll see

just search youtube. type in scion tc exhaust and you will get a few videos.

IMO the tanabe concept g sounds the deepest and isnt too loud but im going to get the tsudo n1 really because its cheaper than all the axlebacks and its catback.

out of those two i would go with the injen it looks and sounds better

iight - thxs every1, but its still hard to choose from cuz theres almost an equal amount of ppl saying that there both good - so ima try to find some locals, so i can hear there exhaust - i like the clean oem look like the injen, but i like the sound like the HKS (DEEP)

Ya megan drift spec, HKS hi-power, injen, tanabe concept g, greddy evo2, ark dt-s all look like a can of beans. IMO most of them sound like the gaseous bi-product of consuming beans too.

the piping actually doesn't hang that low...it's just the angle of the camera...i used a regular little camera with the video option and set it on the ground to get the video so i could get in the car and start it up and rev it. But yeah, the look is liked by some and not by others...to each his own

TRD is in no way JDM...TRD is an american company. The only "JDM"exhaust would be the HKS or the Apex'i...they're the only japanese companies that make exhausts for the tC which is an american production company

Apex'i makes an exhaust for the tC? Is it the WS type muffler or the N1??

I have the HKS love the sound, thought the muffler was a little too big at first, but I got over it quickly...
